A Rock Solid Story

In 2012, Rock Solid Shredding was founded in Little Rock, Arkansas, by David Fritchman, offering businesses and individuals around the state with a locally based alternative to paper shredding, hard drive destruction, and document scanning services.

In 2022, Rock Solid Shredding was acquired by Jeff and Christy Ward, long-time Little Rock locals with extensive history in the paper shredding industry. Jeff holds twenty years and counting of experience, most of which he spent at the helm of Arkansas’ forefront shredding provider at the time; in 2017, a few years after this provider changed from a franchise model to a corporate model, Jeff made the difficult decision to step away from the company, a move that was accompanied by a lengthy non-compete clause.

After several years of waiting, when the opportunity to acquire Rock Solid Shredding presented itself, Jeff and Christy decided to rejoin the shredding industry with the goal of offering Arkansans a better service option for their information management needs. They acquired Rock Solid because of its roots in the Central Arkansas community, its experienced team, and its commitment to customers both large and small. Guided by the maxim of treating others how they would want to be treated, Jeff, Christy, and the Rock Solid team set out on a mission to better serve Arkansas.

In 2023, Jeff and Christy’s youngest son Bryce Ward, who was working as a copywriter in Fayetteville at the time, decided to join his parents’ effort by leading an office expansion into Northwest Arkansas, making use of his background in marketing.

Over the course of the next year, Rock Solid’s customer base expanded further across Arkansas and into Missouri and Oklahoma—anywhere, within a reasonable distance from Springdale or Little Rock, that there were businesses or individuals who needed a secure, dependable, and fairly priced provider.

In 2024, Jeff and Christy’s oldest son Tanner Ward joined the company to help manage its growth and take the lead at the Little Rock office. Drawing from his prior experience in the shredding industry (both in the field and the office) and a background in business management, Tanner quickly began helping Rock Solid scale more efficiently.

Today, Rock Solid Shredding has established itself as one of the leading regional providers of secure paper shredding, hard drive destruction, and document scanning services, due in large part to our team’s commitment to treating customers right. Unlike many shredding providers, we never have fuel, recycling, or other common forms of fluctuating surcharges. We also handle all customer service in-house from our Little Rock and Springdale offices, allowing us to maintain a tight grip on service quality and dependability.

Our clientele ranges from small businesses to healthcare systems, residential customers to school districts, government agencies to financial institutions, and every type of organization in between. We provide each and every one of our customers, regardless of their size, with the same level of care and attention.
